Powder Coating at Gavron

Life is always full of surprises and new opportunities!
This is our 16th year operating as Gavron Engineering, and we are very excited to announce the start up of our own Powder Coating Facility at Gavron.
The facility is located at Unit 5, 126 Sutton Road, Sidwell and has been in operation since March 2023.

We currently have in excess of 470kg of powder in stock with 26 different colours to choose from. In addition to this, we have sample plates for a further 11 colours of which we can readily procure stock, bearing in mind our minimum powder order is 20kg from our supplier.

We will naturally increase our range based on customer demand.

We have employed a very experienced facility manager in the form of Kobus Neethling, who has ~15 years experience in powder coating. He will assist in getting the plant up and running and with training of staff. Powder Coating at Gavron is a dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin that are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto electrically grounded parts. The charged powder particles adhere to the part and are held there until melted and fused into a uniform coating in a curing oven.
